Olivia Sutton: Co-Maid of Honor

Meet Hanna’s older sister, Olivia! Olivia works as an attending chronic pain and anesthesia physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Much to Hanna’s delight, Olivia and Hanna are now neighbors in Brookline and fill their time together with books, crafts, crosswords, cat sitting for each other, East coast adventuring, and supporting each other through thick and thin!

Madeline Sutton: Co-Maid of Honor

Meet Madeline Sutton, Hanna’s younger sister! Maddy started the Massachusetts trend for the Sutton girls when she moved to Salem after college for her first post-grad job at Rockstar Games. Though Maddy lives 45 minutes away from Hanna and Olivia, they still meet up any weekend they can for pottery painting, fruit picking, DIY afternoon tea making, or any other fun activity they can get their hands on. Maddy also just recently bought her first home in North Chelmsford that Hanna looks forward to crashing at whenever she wants to mooch off of her Peloton treadmill.

Nada Hentati: Best Man

Meet Nada! Nada is Firas’ one and only sister. She is currently a medical student at Case Western Reserve University, where she is following in Firas’ footsteps to become the next Dr. Hentati. Despite their age difference, Nada has been Firas’ partner in crime and built in best friend since day one. No matter the distance or the rigor of their workload, the pair always find time to get a trio from Jeni’s whenever they’re back in Chicago together.

Kelly Lucas: Bridesmaid

Meet Kelly! Kelly and Hanna became friends on the first day of classes at Loyola after Hanna transferred universities her sophomore year. Kelly and Hanna hit it off over a shared love of all things Disney, Broadway, afternoon tea, and, despite different upbringings, shockingly mutual niche movies and pop culture they grew up on, thus they understood all of each other’s little references and jokes. Kelly recently got married in her home state of Hawaii and Hanna can’t wait to share in the same experience in 2025 with roles reversed! Kelly now lives in Seattle, working for Amazon.

Osman Sutton-Ulug: Groomsman

Meet Osman! Osman is Firas’s soon-to-be brother-in-law. While Firas and Osman have known each other since Firas first started attending Sutton family events, they really became close when Firas, Olivia, and Osman all lived in the same apartment complex in Brookline, before Hanna was even a Bostonian. Osman and Firas both show their love through food and cooking, much to the delight of the Sutton sisters. Osman works for Accenture as a data engineer.

Natalia Lancor: Bridesmaid / Officiant

Meet Natalia! Fun fact: Natalia was actually Hanna’s organic chemistry tutor. Immediately when Hanna met Natalia, her thoughts were: “she’s cool, and I’m going to be friends with her.” Somehow her dastardly plan to befriend her tutor worked out. Hanna and Natalia grow closer as the years pass, as they’re now on year four of going on a coffee date at a different local coffee shop every single month (yes, they’ve continued even after Hanna moved to Boston, with only a couple having to be virtual), and year three of fostering a book club together. Natalia recently earned her PhD from Northwestern University and started her full time job at Bain as a consultant.

Doug Fetterman: Groomsman

Meet Doug! Firas and Doug met as two terrified interviewees for Case Western Medical School. Little did they know they’d wind up great friends, let alone attending each others’ weddings all this time later. Firas and Doug share a passion for elaborate dinner parties and intricate desserts…none more intricate than Doug’s three-layer, multi-colored carrot cake. Doug is currently an emergency medicine resident in Tucson, Arizona.

Tara Kennedy: Bridesmaid

Meet Tara! Hanna and Tara were co-workers right out of undergrad. They stayed close when Hanna went off to PA school, but really became close when Hanna moved back to Chicago after grad school. They share a love of books, martinis, art, fashion, exploring Chicago one restaurant at a time, and a deep-seeded adoration for beautiful skies and national parks. Tara works as a research coordinator at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, working on pediatric fertility preservation for cancer patients.

Aditya Mithal: Groomsman

Meet Aditya! Aditya and Firas met with the start of their internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. As anyone who has participated in, or known someone to participate in a medical residency program, trauma bonding makes for fast and deep friendships. Whether it’s needing coverage or just a simple vent session, Aditya and Firas are always there for each other through thick and thin. As a bonus, Firas, Hanna, Aditya, and his wife Niru are undefeated in their trivia record at the local pub.

Blayre Scott: Bridesmaid

Meet Blayre! Hanna met Blayre day one of PA school. They bonded over a mutual desire to live a balanced life during grad school and try to enjoy those two hard years. Blayre told Hanna from the very beginning that “Indianapolis was rated the number one most underrated city” and spent two years proving to Hanna that is absolutely true. Blayre has been working in general surgery in Indiana, however – to Hanna’s absolute delight – Blayre has moved to Boston, joining Hanna and Firas on the East coast to work at Mass General in robotic surgery! Hanna’s thrilled not only to gain Blayre as an East Coaster, but also her two cats Margot and Flynn.

Sarah Glapa: Bridesmaid

Meet Sarah, Hanna’s oldest friend! Sarah and Hanna have known each other since they were children, but they became close when they were both woodwinds in the Station Middle School band. Sarah and Hanna wore their marching band uniforms with pride all through high school and though Hanna has not picked up her clarinet since she was a teenager, she kept her friendship with Sarah close. Sarah now uses her dual masters degrees in working for her alma mater of UW-Madison in health communications.

Jack Solomon: Groomsman

Meet Jack! Though Jack was not one of Firas’s medical school classmates, it almost seemed as if he was since he was a permanent fixture at any of their social gatherings or hangouts. Firas met Jack as the husband of his good friend and classmate Lesley. They quickly bonded over their need to decompress over a good scary video game. Jack was such a good friend that he even tolerated Firas’ poor video game skills. Jack is the VP of Instruction and Compliance at Lakewood University in Cleveland, OH.

Alexandra Watch: Bridesmaid

Meet Alexandra! Hanna met Ali on the first day of joining a college business fraternity. Hanna was a transfer student and Ali was a freshman, so suffice it to say, neither of them knew how to get home from their meeting. And the rest was history! Hanna and Ali spent years being neighbors in Chicago, frequenting the farmers markets and the lakefront path, working their way through past Oscar best picture winners and mastering the art of pasta making from scratch (Ali doing the “making” part and Hanna doing the “drinking wine and offering moral support” part). Ali now works fully remote as an operations specialist at BDO.

Nikhil Misra: Groomsman

Meet Nikhil! Firas met Nikhil at a celebratory medical school event as the new boyfriend of his good friend Carolyn. Firas wanted to be Nikhil’s friend so badly, he even pretended to be a fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers for a brief period of time (the truth has since come out that his loyalty has and will always be with the Chicago Bulls). Nikhil is currently earning his MBA at Northwestern. (Nik not photographed because Firas always gets to distracted by his love for Nik’s dog Layla to ever get a photo with Nik).

Ashleigh Moait: Bridesmaid

Meet Ashleigh! Hanna and Ashleigh met as two overwhelmed organic chemistry students, looking for a tutor. They found their tutor (also known now as the officiant of this wedding, Natalia), and trauma bonded their way to an everlasting friendship. With Ashleigh in NYC, Hanna was thrilled that upon moving to Boston, her and Ashleigh would live so much closer. Hanna now finds any excuse she can to head down to New York so her and Ashleigh can run around the big city together.
